• The New England Wireless and Steam Museum: Pay homage to the beginnings of radio and steam technology with this locally treasured museum. The museum regularly introduces new exhibitions. Summer events take place every Saturday. Don’t miss the annual Yankee Steam-Up, which takes place in October.
• Varnum Memorial Armory: Learn about East Greenwich’s place in early American military History at this exceptionally presented museum. Book your next indoor event here when they reopen in the mid-autumn of 2021.
• Varnum House Museum: Built in 1773, this museum was once the home of the Revolutionary War General James Mitchell Varnum. A wonderful place to plan your next outdoor event.

The Great Outdoors & Furry Friends

East Greenwich RI offers families a lot to do. A safe community, abundant outdoor space, and endless ways to connect with nature.

• East Coast Paddle Sports: Explore the East Bay in kayaks, paddleboards, or a guided sunset tour. Yoga packages are offered to help you become one with nature. They also offer packages to “Paddle with Your Pup.”
• Briggs Boesch Farm: Historic farmlands invite you to meander through walking trails. Pigs, chickens, and other animals can be found roaming around. This working farm is a lovely place to spend a day in any season.
• Picturesque walking trails. The Frenchtown Park and Fry Family Nature Preserve is a scenic hike, as is The Quonset Bike Path.

Historic Main & Water Streets in East Greenwich are known for their array of local favorites, some offering scenic water views.

• Finn’s Harborside: Classic pub fare overlooking the many boats that call East Greenwich RI home.
• The Patio on Main: Heated tents, outdoor seating, craft beers, and tasty casual food.
• Chelo’s Waterfront: A legendary spot for locals and visitors to enjoy. Check out their live music and great views with even better food.
